Please Note: If you are a current TRS family, or if you have previously submitted an inquiry, you do not need to complete this step again.
Step 2: Complete Admissions Application Form
In this section, you'll be asked to submit student and family demographic information, a parent questionnaire, and information on the applicant's personality and character. The final step of the application form is paying the non-refundable application fee of $90 (per child).

Step 3: Attend an Elementary Information Session and Campus Tour
We believe it is critical that families come to know our school and mission before making a commitment. All prospective families will be required to attend an information session for the 2023-2024 admissions season. The Raleigh School admissions office will offer both in-person and virtual information sessions which will begin October 2022 and go through May 2023 ( See additional details below). Registration for our information sessions and campus tours will open on Friday, September 16. You'll be able to schedule your session during the application process, or you can register on our Admissions Event page.
Prospective Kindergarten-First Grade Families:
Please plan to attend an in person, Early Elementary Information Session and campus tour. If you are unable to attend one of our pre-set dates, please attend a virtual information session instead. Once you have attended a virtual session, we strongly encourage you to arrange a campus tour. Please reach out to admissions@raleighschool.org to schedule your tour. Please keep in mind that the admissions office needs 48-72 hours to schedule these tours.
Prospective Second-Fifth Grade Families:
Since our on-campus information sessions are geared towards our early elementary families, we encourage you to first, register for a virtual information session, and then, we strongly suggest that you schedule an on-campus tour through admissions@raleighschool.org. Please keep in mind that the admissions office needs 48-72 hours to schedule your campus tour.
Step 4: Applicant Visit
In addition to the supporting materials that we collect as part of the application process, we also often invite applicants to a classroom visit. In order for an applicant to be invited for a visit as part of our first-round admissions decisions, families need to submit completed applications by December 16. During classroom visits, applicants will attend class for two full school-days, and they will be asked to participate in activities to the best of their ability.
This year, our admissions committee has decided to continue to limit elementary applicant visits due to Covid-19 mitigation strategies we have in place. Invitations for visits will be made in January and will be based on a number of factors.
Applicants who apply after the initial deadline date will be invited to visit only if there is a possible opening.
Step 5: Submit Supporting Documentation
When you gain access to your admissions portal, you will see an admissions checklist requesting supporting documentation. These items include:

-Confidential Teacher Recommendation(s)
-Latest Progress Report
-Vaccination Records
